Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS
Even though this comet has already made it's closest approach to the sun, we'll have the opportunity to view it as it streaks outbound away from our solar system.
C 63, the Helix Nebula
The Helix nebula is a planetary nebula located 650 light years away in the constellation Aquarius & is about 3 light years across.
M2, Globular Cluster
Gravitationally bound stars form a sphere of over 150,000 stars located 33,000 light years from Earth. There are about 100 globular clusters orbiting the core of our Milky Way galaxy & M2 is the largest of them all.
Saturn
The ringed planet is over 800,000,000 miles away from Earth or 75 light minutes. The combined orbits of Earth & Saturn are slowly bringing Saturn's rings into an edge on view from Earth. Tonight's view will show the rings approaching this edge on view that will occur March 15, 2025.
